PA Pre-K Counts is a high-quality preschool program funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The program helps children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten success.

Families can complete a preschool application and submit it to HANDS for consideration. Our staff will help guide you through the enrollment process and answer any questions.

PA Pre-K Counts programs are offered through partner locations including:

Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based home visiting program that supports families from pregnancy through kindergarten.

Trained parent educators work directly with families to provide child development information, parenting support, developmental screenings, and school readiness resources.

Home visits are personalized to meet the needs of each family and may include:

Family Skills Training helps parents and caregivers strengthen parenting skills, improve family relationships, and support healthy child development through individualized education and support.

The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) provides practical parenting strategies to help caregivers address behavioral challenges and build positive family relationships.

Some Triple P services require provider referrals.

The Wyoming County Family Resource Center is a welcoming place where families can access information, support services, educational opportunities, and community resources.

The Center promotes family engagement, child development, and community connections.

Yes. HANDS participates in the CEO Weinberg Food Bank charitable food network and provides food assistance to local families.

Yes. Diaper assistance is available to qualifying families through our Family Resource Center.

The drive-through food distribution is held on the third Monday of each month.

Pre-registration is required one week before the distribution date.
